FAQS
How does ordering in bulk work?
You can place an order for a whole, half. or quarter beef. Once your order has been placed, you will be given a kill date and sent a cut list. You will be able to customize your cut order to fit your taste. Once the animal goes through the initial phase of processing you will be invoiced for the hanging weight. Beefs are typically ready between 14 -20 days after taken to the processor. Once the meat is ready for pickup, you will be contacted by the processer and you can pick up your beef at your convenience.
What is hanging weight?
Hanging weight is the weight of the beef animal after it has been field dressed but before it has been aged, cut, packaged and frozen. Why use the hanging measurement? We use this weight measurement because we are not selling individual retail cuts but instead are selling by the quarter, halve, or whole animal.
How much freezer space do I need?
For a half, it is recommend to have around an 8 cubic feet. A whole beef will need 16 cubic feet.
